ISTANBUL, the timeless bridge
A view from Istanbul - CLICK FOR SOME PICTURES  Click on photo for further photographs
Magical Istanbul, the only city in the world built on two continents, is a fascinating and exciting metropolis. Over the course of millennia, Istanbul was the seat of great empires – Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman - and a meeting place of peoples of many religions and cultures who came together and learnt to live in peace and harmony. Often called "the city of harmonious contrasts", Istanbul blends East and West, past and future, tradition with technology and nature with progress. Istanbul is a city of contrasts, the splendours of ancient city surviving alongside the hustle and bustle of a modern centre of commerce, which plays host to hundred of local and international trade fairs, meetings, conferences and cultural activities.

WHEATHER in ISTANBUL
Temperature is approximately 20
°C during May in Istanbul. It might be rainy in spring so we advice you to bring your umbrella with you.

AIRPORT TRANSFER
Atatürk Interenational Airport is situated approximately 25 km to the west of Istanbul.
Taxis from the airport are relatively inexpensive, costing between $11 and $20 for destinations in and around the city center. The travel time is typically 30 to 45 minutes. Airport shuttle busses depart from the International terminal and travel to the Turkish Airlines City Terminal near Galata Tower, which is very close to the city center. Taxis are readily available at that location. Buses leave the airport hourly between 5:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., as well as every half-hour during peak travel times.
